General sales, supply and payment conditions

These General Sales Conditions are available on all offers, orders and agreements concluded through the website, excluding all other possible general conditions. To accept an offer or to make an order means acceptance of the applicability of these Conditions. Deviation of these Conditions can only be done in writing. If there is a deviation of a part of these General Conditions, all other provision remain in force unlimited. All rights and liabilities, as stated in these Conditions and in possible further agreements stipulated for the benefit of, will also be stipulated for the benefit of middlemen or other third parties engaged by
An agreement is concluded after the customer has accepted the offer on our website, has the right to refuse orders or request additional information. If an order is not accepted, the customer will be informed with a statement of the reason.
The prices mentioned with the articles are in euros, including VAT. Order charges are (unless stated differently) not included in the mentioned prices. Before concluding the agreement, the total price, including order charges will be communicated through our website.
The schedule for delivery charges is as follows:
For NL:
total amount between 0 and 24.99 euro -> delivery charges: 2.50 euro
total amount between 25 and 99.99 euro -> delivery charges: 6.50 euro
total amount over 100 euro -> free delivery
For deliveries to other countries apart from the Netherlands, the contribution to delivery charges depend on the relevant country.
For Europe:
total amount between 0 and 99.99 euro -> delivery charges: 9,00 euro
total amount over 100 euro -> free delivery
For outside Europe:
total amount between 0 and 99.99 euro -> delivery charges: 16,00 euro
total amount over 100 euro -> free delivery cannot be held responsible for price notifications that are evident incorrect, for example caused by incorrect entry, errors or misprint. No rights can be derived from incorrect price information.
Payment is made in (one of) the way(s) as stated in the order process. A customer’s order can be subject to further payment and order conditions. After placing an order, the customer will directly receive a confirmation per e-mail stating the total costs, including order charges. Payment is always made beforehand. • IDeal: by using internet banking you can securely pay electronically through our site. After placing your order, you select the payment method iDeal.
• Paypal: You can also directly pay online by using Paypal. Your payment will be authorised online so you will immediately know if this has been approved or not. The customer authorises “bretonstripe” to perform all dealings necessary to make the payment in the payment method selected by the customer.
Bretonstripe strives to prepare the orders for delivery within one working day after receipt of the payment. However, Bretonstripe is not obliged to this. The final delivery time is 30 days from placing the order, except for orders whereby the customers has indicated a later delivery time. If it is not possible to deliver the order within 30 days, the customer will be informed on time and he/she has the right to cancel the order free of charge.
We will not send out an order if these order is not complete yet, unless this has been consulted with the customer. If the delivery is not (temporarily) in stock, or has been delayed due to other reasons, or if the delivery cannot be made or only partly be made, the customer will receive notification of this within seven (7) working days after placing the order. In this case the customer has the right to cancel the order free of charge. In this case Bretonstripe will ensure for a full refund.
Subject to deviations in colour, type, text and/or price adjustments. Offered goods and/or services are clearly and truthfully pictured and/or described as complete as reasonably required.
Retention of ownership
The ownership of the supplied products will be transferred when the client has complied with all his/her obligations towards Bretonstripe regarding the delivered products arising from the concluded agreement(s).
To return and exchange
We do are upmost to inform you through our website about our articles. However, if an article does not meet your expectations, you can return or exchange this. But the customer is obliged to return the articles at their own costs. For returns and/or exchanges (hereinafter: returns) a few conditions are applicable.
Articles that you have bought through can be returned and/or exchanged without stating any reason. However, you have to comply with the following conditions:
• These articles should be notified for return within 7 working days after receipt at the delivery address, either per phone or per mail.
• The articles should be in the original condition of shipping including attached labels and should be returned in the original packaging.
• Articles that you have bought in the sale with a discount of 50% or more cannot be cancelled.
Bretonstripe only accepts returns that are in accordance with the above stated conditions. Returns that have not been notified within the stipulated time period will not be accepted. After receipt of you return you will receive confirmation per e-mail. In case of prepayment, the amount of the returns will be credited by us in the shape of a voucher, issued by Bretonstripe. The voucher is valid unlimited and you can use it online to pay for an outstanding order (or part payment) or you can use the voucher during your next visit to our site
The customer is obliged to return the articles at his/her own account. Returned deliveries should be sent by post and should have enough postage. Returned deliveries with insufficient postage will not be accepted and therefore not be credited.
A complaint
Complaint regarding the delivery of your order.
We do our upmost to deliver a perfect product. After receipt of your order we recommend you to immediately check the delivered goods and to report possible faults in writing within 3 working days. If a garment has not been delivered according to your order or does not comply with the description on our website, you should report this immediately to us. Tip! We can solve your complaint better if you report your complaint immediately. If the proposed solution does not meet your expectation you can cancel the complete order within 7 working days, free of charge. The already paid amount will be credited immediately.
Complaints regarding the quality of the article(s)
Of course it can happen that the quality of the garment does not (anymore) meet your expectations after a period of use. For example, the garment shows extreme wear after a short period of use, a button or zip is broken or you notice that the article does not keep its beauty after washing. The warranty period on the clothing is 3 months after receipt of the clothing. Of course our warranty is only applicable with a normal frequency of wearing and washing.
Plus, the reasonable expected life span of the relevant garment should be 3 months. The clothing should be washed in accordance with the washing instructions on the garment, if you decide or have decided to use an alternative washing method your complaint will not be valid at all times.
This warranty will be void if you have tried yourself, without consultation, to solve the fault or if you have not followed the user recommendations and/or instructions. The postage charges for returning an article with a complaint will initially be for the account of the customer. These charges will be credited if the complaint is considered valid. We will try to solve the complaint, in consultation with you, as soon as possible. To ensure that your complaint is dealt with smoothly we request you to strictly following our instructions.
Cancellation of your order
Each order that has not been shipped yet, can be cancelled without paying a fine and without stating any reasons. If you have already paid the cancelled order, Bretonstripe will compensate the paid amount within fourteen (14) working days.
The buyer has the right, in accordance with the law on remote purchases, to recall (cancel) the order within seven working days after receipt of the order, without paying a fine and without stating any reasons. The buyer will also have the opportunity to be compensated for the order amount, if already paid. In this case Bretonstripe will not charge any delivery charges for the shipment to the delivery address. However, the customer is obliged to pay the return charges of the order.

You should contact us, within 7 working days after receipt at the delivery address, by e-mail This e-mail should state your name, order number and (if applicable) your bank details. Plus, you should indicate that you want to cancel your order in accordance with the law on remote purchases. If your request complies with the above, you will receive confirmation, within 1 working day, with the address to which you should send the returned order.
You will receive a confirmation by e-mail as soon as we have received your shipment and processed this. If complied, you will be reimbursed with the complete order amount within fourteen (14) days after the confirmation of receipt of your order by Bretonstripe. If you have not cancelled before the order was sent or within 7 working days after receipt at the delivery address and we have not received your return, e.g. you cannot provide us with confirmation of the cancellation, you are obliged to pay. Bretonstripe has the right to charge you costs if the order is not cancelled and not paid within the stipulated period.
Force Majeure
In case of force majeure the seller is not obliged to compensate the buyer for arising damages, except and insofar as the seller would have had an advantage from this force majeure that he/she would not have had with correct compliance.
Applicable law and authorised court
All rights obligations, offers, orders and agreements that are applicable to these Conditions, as well these Conditions, are subject to Dutch law. It may happen that you are not satisfied with our products or services. Please contact us as soon as possible, preferably by e-mail on We will respond to your complaint within 30 days.
If we cannot solve this together, you can issue your complaint – after payment of 25 euro complaint money – to the Complaints Commission Thuiswinkel, P.O. If you are in the right (or partly in the right) you will be refunded (part of) the complaint money.
Disputes between parties can be submitted to the authorised court in the Netherlands. If a court order declares one or more articles of these conditions as invalid:
• all other provisions of these general conditions will completely remain in force;
• Bretonstripe and client will enter a discussion in order to agree on new provisions to replace the invalid provisions, taking into account the purpose and the meaning of the invalid provisions.
